Keeping everyone posted...
Ok...so I have been really slack about updates on this thing and after talking to my sister-in-law Christyn (who by the way is the queen of keeping everyone updated!) has convinced me to TRY and update more...so, two updates in two days is pretty good I think!!! After staring at our family picture, it brought tears to my eyes to think how OLD all of our kids are...time goes by so fast. Although in the middle of everything, I do not often step back and reflect on the blessings that they really are!!!! I never in a million years thought I would have FOUR kids and on top of that ALL boys...but they are the best thing that could have happened to me and Jas!!!! From the smiles they give us to the tantrums they throw...we would not have it any other way! So, for all the mother's reading this I thought I could give some insight to how funny and crazy days are here...from eating the whole container of grape jelly behind daddy's leather chair to peeing naked outside in front of the neighbor's...there is never a dull moment. Although today one specific thing comes to mind...the other day Jack and Jon were REALLY upset at me and Jason...we punished them by bringing them inside and not letting them back out the rest of the evening. Inside it only got worse. I think this was the first time I heard them tell us "They hated us!". I was at a loss of what to do (as I usually am!) and let Jason take the lead. He sent them upstairs without dinner and that just made them more upset. So they proceeded to sit at the top of the stairs and scream at us. Finally at the end of their rant, we heard them yell, (mind you this is word for word), "Daddy, you hate us, you don't love us, you even hate JESUS!"...at that, all that Jason and I could do was just look at each other and giggle. I know that might sound bad, but that is really all we did...things did calm down that night and apologies were given, but that will be one of my memories that will forever go down in the Humphries household. So, just remember when your day is bad or not going the way you thought it would, it could always be worse...an eight year old could tell you that you hate Jesus!!!!

Family Pictures...
Well, we finally gave in and decided to get a family picture since it has now been almost 4 years since the "babies" were born. I was anxious all week and thought about backing out several times, even up until hours before the pictures. I am so thankful I stuck with the original plan because we have only one picture so far, and I love it!!! Hopefully we'll be getting the other gazillion soon. We all thankfully made it downtown to the USC horseshoe without candy, food, dirt or anything else dirty on all the kids clothes...for the most part, all the kids cooperated. As did the weather. So I'll post more pictures as soon as we get them...On another note, all the kids are doing great. Jack and Jon are still loving school (which surprises me!) and Jordan and Josh are enough to keep me busy while the older ones are away. We are gearing up for Christmas and I think this one will be the most memorable one yet. Jordan and Josh know what is going on this year and are already running around the house saying "Ho Ho Ho, Merry Christmas!!!"...Halloween was also fun this year with Jack and Jon being some kind of scary jester sort of thing and Jordan and Josh being Spiderman and Batman...switching off daily and changing costumes...if the little ones are anything like the older ones, then they will be wearing those costumes for at least a year from now EVERYDAY!!!! Well, hope that is a little bit of an update and I also have Halloween pictures to post whenever my girlfriend Tavia sends them to me...I think it might be time for me to get a camera instead of relying on everyone else to take my pictures!!!! Love to all!

Boys Start School!!!!
Well, they finally did it...started school on August 21, 2008. I have been an emotional wreck for the past week and yesterday was not different. That's not what they thought though. Jack and Jon were so excited to go. After crying all morning, I could not take it anymore and called Jason and we met them for lunch and brought the little ones. Jack and Jon were excited to see us, but did not need us there. For being homeschooled for so long, they sure had no problem making friends. Jack was at the lunch table with about four boys and Jon was sitting with two girls (not surprising!)...they are in different classes, which I was unsure about, but I think they LOVE it. Jordan and Josh are still adjusting to not having their big brothers at home, but I'm sure we'll be just fine...at least now I have a little more alone time with them. When I picked them up from school yesterday, they both jumped in the car and told me it was the best day of their lives...it made me smile and cry. I am so happy for them, but I do feel that a piece (or two pieces) of my heart are missing during the day. Both of them read for their class and Jack brought the Bible as his favorite book and Jon brought the Velveteen Rabbit...they make my heart melt...well that's about it for right now, but here are some pictures of their first day!!! Love to all!!!

Babies First Crossley BBQ....

I know that it's been a while since the last post, but somehow my days get away from me!!! These pictures are from my grandmother's 80th birthday in Charlotte. My dad and brothers cooked a pig and we had a beautiful day outside. It is such a blessing to have my nana in my life!!! The babies LOVED it!!! I knew beforehand they eat anything, and I mean ANYTHING, but they (being all 4) held nothing back at the picnic...I think Josh and Jordan ate more than their big brothers. In the last picture Josh is going back up for seconds!!! I'm sure it made my dad and brothers proud that they are carrying on the family tradition!!! We are almost at the close of another school year for Jack and Jon and I know they are excited...I have not yet decided whether they are going to stay at home next year for school or not, but I have enjoyed my time with them so far. The older ones just finished their soccer season and did great...they moved up to the 8-9 year old teams this year, but they held their own on the field. Jordan and Josh are consistently getting into stuff all around the house and keeping me on my toes...I had truly forgotten how challenging this age is. I hope all of you are doing well and hope you enjoy the pictures!!!!Tuesday, March 18, 2008
It's been a while...
Just a quick update since it's been over a year and there has been no blogging out of me...my sister-in-law convinced me to start doing it again, and after trying to find my password, I'm finally back!!! I will not post any pictures because I do not have a camera, but as soon as I get one, I'll try to get some recent pictures. I will post updated things going on around our household when I get a moment, but right now, the little twins are out of their room, so I must run...take care and I'll post soon...love to all!!!!!
